Hello, everybody! Such a huge trend is coming to be in the market of smartphones this year. It seems the non-pro models are more important than the expensive flagship models. I felt that these non-pro models would be popular when iPhone XS and its counterparts were launched. And so far, it looks like I did not miscalculate We’ve also heard quite some noise about the Samsung S23 and S24 models. Well, let’s get into details regarding a comparison between the iPhone 16 and Samsung S24. In all this we will look at user experience and other practical facts and not just details of specifications.
Design
Designs of both phones are more or less of the same language. Both frames look boxy, and the display flatness is the same case. The back panels are also flat, so it’s hard to distinguish one from the other in hand. I think the iPhone 11 has an additional button and that could attract some people, but Apple’s double-click system is conducting actions in a different manner, and the controls have been very different. The devices are also very durable, with the Samsung S24 having an Armor frame, and on the front and back, there’s Gorilla Glass Victus 2. The iPhone has tough glass too, but as you recall, glass will break!

Display
Displays look like both phones in a sort of way. The S24 sports a punch-hole camera at the top right and it won’t really disturb your viewing experience. But the iPhone features Dynamic Island, and it might slightly distort some videos. The S24 had bright colors and a refresh rate of 120Hz, while the iPhone had a refresh rate of 60Hz. Both of them have really great camera setups; the iPhone 11 with the 12-megapixel setup and Samsung delivering bright photos of the blue tone.
Camera Quality
Another point is that, while referring to cameras, the two handsets seem to favor each other. The iPhone 11 does pretty well in digital zoom; images crop up quite clear and of acceptable quality with the camera. On low-light scenarios, though, Samsung usually cuts it. Essentially, this means there is good photography from the iPhone, but the colors and more so the feel might favor Samsung, especially on those challenging lighting.
Battery Performance
It has decent screen-on time, mostly between 6 and 7 hours. The S24 can provide more extended usage if well managed on its own. Comparing it in real-world tests, the S24 performed better in battery endurance. If you are a heavy user, the S24 will be a better choice.
Performance
Speaking of performance, the S24 boasts the powerful Exynos 2200 chip; on the other hand, the iPhone has the A15 Bionic chip. Most tests that were conducted on the two devices, including video editing and gaming, showed that most results were higher completion rates in the S24 as compared to the iPhone. The same case is applied to gaming: after testing both phones, it was observed that the S24 completed the 30-minute 4K video edit significantly faster than the iPhone.

To test the gaming performance, I ran Genshin Impact on both devices. The S24 maintained 60fps without any lag, but the iPhone lost its ground with lag after a little while. This is a biggie in gaming as every gamer would want smoothness. So, clearly, the winner is the S24.
File Management
Another critical area is file management. With the S24, transferring files to an SSD was considerably faster to take over 13 minutes that were taken by the iPhone. That’s quite a big difference, especially for professionals who deal with large files regularly.
Software Updates
Both phones update their software, however, Samsung states seven years, while Apple does not update as specifically as to a time scale. This plays to the front end for Samsung in terms of longevity and future-proofing your device.
Conclusion
Conclusion: The bottom line is that both iPhone 16 and Samsung S24 have their weaknesses and strengths. Ultimately, it comes to usage and budget. If you want a lot of a well-performing phone for gaming, file management, and battery life, then the Samsung S24 is the way to go. Conversely, if you value the Apple ecosystem and just like its design and user interface, then you might as well get the iPhone 16.
