If this film doesn’t make history, the audience will lose out.
Think about “Ashwatthama.” The makers were confused if Vicky could attract crowds to theaters. The result? The film is still not confirmed. They wanted to make money, not change cinema. Now, the same actor is cast as Lord Parshuram, and the first look is so impressive that people are wondering if it’s real or computer-generated. Maddock is clever. They don’t want to spend money on a remake or copy; they want original cinema with a strong actor and director.
The next film is “Chhaava,” followed by “Love and War,” where Vicky will challenge Ranbir Kapoor’s stardom. Then, we will see the story of Lord Parshuram. If you trust anyone’s talent in Bollywood, it has to be Vicky Kaushal. He will surely make a film that breaks records.
The best part? “Mahavatar” does not have the risks associated with “Adipurush” or “Ramayana” with Ranbir Kapoor. People already know those stories. But the topic of Lord Parshuram is fresh and unique. There is so much to discover about him that no one has shared before.
Vicky Kaushal’s appearance adds to the excitement, but the rest of the casting must be strong too. Amar Kaushik, who directed “Stree 2,” is making this film.
