So, the Redmi Note 14 Pro Plus has finally arrived. The Redmi Note family was once the most sought-after lineup but things have changed a little after other brands like Poco, Realme, and Samsung also managed to create some great smartphones. It might come to India for around Rs 30,000. We have managed to get our hands on this Chinese phone, and unlike other international variants, there might not be many differences when it hits our Indian soil barring some optimisations. Now let us get unboxing and find out what you may expect from the Note 14 Pro Plus,
Unboxing Redmi Note 14 Pro Plus
White colored, we get a SIM card tool, a case, and documentation within the box. Unlike what we often find in the Note series, it is a nice twist to see something different. Let’s talk about the phone itself. It is quite weighty and solid in hand. You will get a 90W charger and you will also get a Type A USB to Type C charging cable with that. That’s it in the box.

Design and Build Quality
On each side of it, you’ll find curved glass. According to the manufacturer, the Redmi Note 14 Pro Plus is the most durable phone in the entire Note series. Of course, it does not just bring Gorilla Glass Victus 2 on the front but also Gorilla Glass 7i on the back. One thing we cannot disagree about is that the camera module looks great. We can really say that this time, it deserves the “Pro+” sign. It has a telephoto lens, which is specially 50MP. That’s pretty exciting!
Display Features
The display is a 6.67 inches 120Hz AMOLED screen. Support for 12 bits: that is like showing 68 billion colors! In the support of Dolby Vision, it does marvelous binge watching for videos. The display resolution sits at 1.5K, and its panel quality for the display is really excellent. It also shows strength. That’s plus.
Specifications Overview
Now, let’s talk about the specifications. The phone is powered by the new 7S Gen 3 processor that clocks around 7.5L on AnTuTu. Which is, quite frankly, a capable processor! In China, it supports options in 12GB and 16GB variants, but we are not too sure if this would be launched in the Indian markets with that configuration or the 8GB version which has been the norm in India. They should actually launch the 12GB variant at the same price. Internal storage has LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 2.2. In case they look to launch it in India, they should consider using the UFS 3.1 storage as most of the phones at this range are offering that now.

Redmi Note 14 Pro Plus: Unboxing and First Impressions
Battery Life and Charging
That’s amazing battery capacity at 6200mAh. Size is not changed because it uses a high-density silicon carbon battery, which is smaller but gives more capacity. It also supports 90W charging, which means you can expect great performance for gaming as well. You can play games at 60FPS, and there’s even a Chinese game that can run at 120FPS!
Operating System and Software
In terms of software, this device will likely launch running off Android 14, based on HyperOS. If HyperOS supports Android 15 later down the line, that’d be a plus, of course. The display is bright, at 3000 nits, which makes it really clear in bright conditions.
Cameras
Now, camera. This mobile has different camera sensors from different brands. The main 50MP sensor is from OmniVision, the ultra-wide sensor is by Sony which is 8MP and a telephoto sensor from Samsung JN1. The front-facing sensor has a 20MP OmniVision sensor. The photos taken are of high clarity though tones sometimes come warm. You can take portraits at 1X, 2X, and 2.5X zoom that add some depth to your photos.

Video Quality
You get the 4K with 30FPS from the rear and 1080p from the front. The video quality is, of course good and comes along with the feature of OIS. The camera quality offered by Xiaomi should start first and not just enhance the megapixels.
Durability and Certifications
This device has ratings IP66, IP68, and IP69. This means that it’s waterproof for its submersion in up to 2 meters of water for a whole day. There is undoubtedly no problem. It is so strong on durability.
