Samsung Galaxy S24 FE has recently brought to market the Galaxy S24 FE. “FE” previously stood for “Fan Edition,” but it is now more an abbreviation of something rather a little different. And yet many fans want to know if this is the phone they have longed for. Let’s delve a little further into the features of this phone and if it is really one for the fans.
Design and Display
The Galaxy S24 FE looks sleek. It has flat sides, but it does have a shiny glass back. The phone itself is big, coming in at 6.7 inches. Another very important feature of the display is it refreshes at 120Hz. That means everything’s super smooth scrolling or when games are played.
The phone is built using robust materials. On the front and on the back, it features Gorilla Glass Victus Plus, which is significantly better than the older Gorilla Glass 5 on the Galaxy S23 FE. The IP68 rating of the S24 FE also means it can be dust-proof and survive a short time submerged in water.
There are also some nice fun colours available. You can get it in blue, gray, graphite, and mint. These colors differentiate the phone from any other type.
Camera Features
The S24 FE looks quite great too. That camera really is superb, including that 50MP main camera and a 12MP ultra-wide camera. In fact, it kind of is the same when it comes to Galaxy S24 and S24 Plus, but on a slightly lesser telephoto level. Here, the sensor is smaller at 8MP whereas higher models have a 10MP sensor there.
Even though the sensor is smaller, it boasts 3x optical zoom. It is a beautiful way of capturing images of far objects without losing their quality. The battery is also big: 4,700mAh. This makes it last a long time but is slightly smaller than the S24 Plus.
Video Recording
Video Bettered The S24 FE has differed in some ways. Now, there are some improvements that can record 8K at 30 frames per second. That is significant improvement on what the former could only do within the recording system at a 24 frame per second frame. The change will make videos look much smoother and clearer than the previous one.
So, you don’t like 8K? Okay, no problem. This camera can record in 4K at both 30 and 60 frames per second. Options are good, right?
Processor Change
Perhaps the biggest change is in the processor. While Qualcomm processors have been impressive in the previous phones, many Samsung fans in the U.S. are finding themselves eyeing their phones for it. This Galaxy S24 FE, however, comes with a much more substantial Exynos 2400e processor. It’s a change not everyone will be seeing eye to eye with.
Even if this processor is slightly better than the previous Exynos model, it may not sit right with fans accustomed to Qualcomm’s chips. This switch may give some fans reason not to buy the phone.
Price and Value
We have no pricing news here, but in the States, the Galaxy S24 FE starts at $649, or $50 above the price of the Galaxy S23 FE. And so then they have to ask themselves if that is a good value for what they get here, where there are many improvements, but will people be willing to pay more for an Exynos processor and to deliver without a Qualcomm chip?
It will be a super good deal for fans outside the U.S. because it has so many features similar to S24 Plus but at half the price. But for fans within the U.S., this phone may be a tougher sell.
What do fans think?
We consider the Galaxy S24 FE, which obviously has many good features. It is strong to build with an excellent camera and great video recording. And here is the catch: the new processor might be enough to cause differences that make nervous fans.
